This camp is designed to teach all the physical skills necessary to play the game of golf. The camp will also teach the mental aspect of golf. Juniors will learn the meaning of words like honor, integrity, sportsmanship, and etiquette, as well as learn the history of the game. Golf is a lifetime game, and students will learn life skills necessary to be successful in both golf and life.

Students will partake in friendly, challenging, skills contests to test themselves. Self esteem and character building will develop on the golf course with an emphasis on fun. This is a relaxed “Summer Camp” designed to teach golf, develop friendships, promote life skills and be fun.

What: 16 hours over 4 consecutive days
Who: Junior boys and girls, ages 8 to 16 years old
Where: Bethlehem Golf Club (BGC) driving range, short game area and 9-Hole course
When:

  • June 20 - 23, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM; (Rain date 6/24)
  • July 11 - 14, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM; (Rain date 7/15)

Notes:

  • Final celebration awards ceremony and lunch will start at noon on the last day of camp (Thursday).
  • In the event of severe weather, club will be canceled and rain date will be used. No refunds for absences. Refunds of 50% are granted due to illness and missing more than 2 days of camp week.
  • Activities (indoor) will be schedule regardless of the weather.
  • Junior are required, and must be able to carry or pull their own bags a minimum of 6 holes without assistance.
  • Chaperons, scorers, and safety monitors are needed for the week. Please indicate on the sign-up form if you can volunteer. Volunteers working for at least 3 days are entitled to join us for the meal portion of the camp.
  • Minimum of 15 golfers needed to hold event. Maximum of 40.
  • Camp fee must be paid before the start of the first week

Program Details:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled meeting time
  • All instruction will take place at the nine hole/driving range.
  • Equipment: Golfers should bring their own clubs. Equipment will be provided if necessary free of charge.
  • Dress Code: Golf shoes or sneakers, NO open toed shoes or heels. Comfortable golf shorts, skorts, pants, and golf shirts.
  • Supplies: Hat, sunscreen, bottled water, band aids, balls, and tees in golf bag
  • First sign-up, first served—space is limited
