Long Term Player Development

This is a NEW program for 2011. Juniors will partake in a variety of fun and challenging activities, which will incorporate motions of the golf swing. Golfing skills will be developed through hitting, kicking, and throwing games directed at building teamwork as well as individual confidence. Planned activities include balance beam survivor, ladder dance, Frisbee throw, battleship, ring toss, Nerf gun shoot, rubber frog launch, obstacle course, Tic-Tac-Toe, RC racing, cone sprint, challenge wheel, along with many others. This school will have aspects of the programs featured in the websites below.

What: 6 hours of instruction over 4 consecutive weeks
Who: Junior Girls and Boys ages 6 to 14 years old
Where: Bethlehem Driving range, short game area and 9-Hole course

Cost: $120 all inclusive

Week #1 – Week #4 Features:

  • Golf Training stations
  • Fitness Training stations
  • Golf Challenges contest, games and skill assessments
  • There is no on-course instruction with this program. All skills development will take place at the driving range. After each session is completed, golf will follow. "Non-course ready" juniors will need to be chaperoned on the course by an adult.

Note:

  • In the event of severe weather, academy will be canceled and rain date will be used. If more than one week is canceled appropriate funds will be distributed for more prizes in successive weeks. No refunds for week(s) missed. However, in the event of a missed week, a golf shop credit will be issued to your rewards card account.
  • Academy fee must be paid before the start of the first week

Program Details:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled meeting time
  • All instruction will take place at the nine hole/driving range.
  • Minimum of 20 golfers needed to hold event. Maximum of 30.
  • Equipment: Golfers should bring their own clubs. Equipment will be provided if necessary free of charge.
  • Dress Code: Golf shoes or sneakers, NO open toed shoes or heels. Comfortable golf shorts, skorts, pants, and golf shirts.
  • Supplies: Hat, sunscreen, bottled water, band aids, balls, and tees in golf bag
  • First sign-up, first served—space is limited
  • Rain date scheduled at the discretion of the instructor
